Skiing Family Winter Activities in Seattle

Stevens Pass

Stevens Pass is located 1 hour and 15 minutes northeast of Lynnwood. With over 1,125 acres of skiable terrain, Stevens Pass is one of the area’s premier ski resorts. The downhill skiing area boasts 37 primary runs and 10 lifts. It has a vertical rise of about 2,000 feet and is open for both day and night skiing. The area includes day lodge facilities, ski lessons, and rentals.

Nordic Center

Enjoy cross-country, skate skiing or snow showing at the Nordic Center, located 5 miles east of the Stevens Pass Alpine Ski Area on Highway 2.

Snoqualmie Summit is located just over an hour from Lynnwood. The Resort offers 6 base areas catering to the advanced skier, the novice, families, and the Nordic skiers.

Alpental

Known as the most beautiful and challenging terrain in the state with 302 skiable acres plus 500 acres of back country.

Summit West

Featuring some of the best learning terrains at The Summit with almost 200 acres of skiable/ridable terrain. In addition to chairlifts and rope tows, Summit West features a magic carpet, which will give you and/or your child the best opportunity to learn how to ski or snowboard. Summit West also features the West 52nd Freestyle Park and the West Greenhorn Park.

Summit Central

Every type of terrain for every type of ability. From a superpipe to black diamonds to beginner runs to top-to-bottom terrain parks to glades to tubes, this is the heart of The Summit.

Summit East

A secluded place beyond the crowds. Summit East is open on Saturday and Sunday, allowing all that snow to pile up during the week. Summit East offers Nordic and Snowshoe Rentals.

Summit Tubing Area

The best way for the whole family to enjoy some winter mountain fun! The Tubing Area offers machine groomed lanes, commercial grade tubes with covers and surface tows which pull you back to the top of the hill. The Tubing Area is a weekend operation maintaining hours Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
