Lynnwood Farmers Market Opens June 12th!

It’s summertime, and what is more exciting than the prospect of fresh local produce provided by your nearby farmers market? This season, you can buy your produce and goods right here in Lynnwood at your local Farmers Market.

The Lynnwood Farmers Market will kick off its inaugural farmer’s market season with a community ceremony on Thursday, June 12, at 3:30pm at Wilcox Park.  Join the Mayor, councilmembers, Cedar Valley Elementary students, community supporters, and City of Lynnwood employees as we celebrate the opening of the market season. The grand opening event will feature kids games hosted by Kamp Kookamunga camp counselors and Community Transit, FREE ice cream from Umpqua Bank, nutrition information and recipe ideas provided by Whole Foods, live music, picnic area, and free WIFI provided by Frontier Communications.

The Lynnwood Farmers Market will be a 16-week, seasonal market and community celebration held at one of Lynnwood’s most visible and popular parks, Wilcox Park located at 5215 196th St SW. The market will be open weekly on Thursday evenings from 3 – 7pm featuring approximately 30 vendors offering a variety of fresh, locally-grown produce, processed food products and hand-crafted items. The market is coordinated by the City of Lynnwood and will also feature free performances, food trucks, live music, and children’s activities. The Lynnwood Farmers Market is not only a great place to purchase local produce and goods, but it is a place to enjoy an evening with family and friends.

We encourage shoppers to walk, bike, bus or carpool to Wilcox Park. It’s an easy walk from the Lynnwood Transit Center, Lynnwood Library or Cedar Valley Elementary School. For drivers, there is FREE parking in the north parking lot at Wilcox Park (access from 52nd Ave W) and one block west of the park at Cedar Valley Elementary School (beginning at 3:30pm). ADA parking and the shuttle stop will be directed to Wilcox Park’s main lot off 196th St SW. The main lot driveway will be a controlled access point; drivers with ADA placards are encouraged to have them prominently displayed in their windshields as they arrive.
