- Visit Historic Heritage Park: Situated just east of I-5 near Alderwood Manor Parkway, Heritage Park is maintained by the City of Lynwood in partnership with several community organizations. The park showcases several historical structures in a village-like setting, including the Interurban Trolley Car #55. Learn more here.
- Tour Public Art and Historic Sites: Whether you’re an art lover or a history buff, Lynnwood is the place for you to indulge. The city’s robust public arts collection boasts more than 20 large site-specific pieces and over 120 portable works like paintings and photographs. On the historical tip, Lynnwood is chock full of landmark sites like the Wickers Building—also a well-known midpoint marker on the Seattle-to-Everett trail.
- Take the Plunge at Lynnwood Recreation Center: With excellent accessibility and a wide range of outdoor and activities available seven days a week, Lynnwood Recreational Center never ceases to impress. - Bike the Interurban Trail: Grab your bike and head out to explore the stunning beauty of the 24-mile-long, 12-foot-wide Interurban Trail. The hard-surfaced, non-motorized trail winds from North Seattle to Everett along the route once used by electric interurban trail cars. - Play Ball at Meadowdale Playfields: Its formal name is Meadowdale Athletic Complex, but locals refer to this sprawling, versatile athletic complex as Meadowdale Playfields. Regarded as one of the finest outdoor sporting venues in the state of Washington, the complex unfolds in the heart of Lynnwood and offers five all-weather softball/baseball fields, two all-weather soccer/football/rugby/lacrosse fields, playgrounds, a walking trail, and more.
