Crows, Ravens, and Birds of the Burbs
Join University of Washington Professor of Wildlife Science and author John Marzluff at the Adopt A Stream Foundation’s Northwest Stream Center on Tuesday July 10 at 7pm. It will be a very educational and entertaining evening where you will learn the relationship between humans and birds and how best to conserve wildlife in our modern, human dominated world. Reservations are required by calling 425-316-8592; $5 for AASF members, $7 non-members. The Northwest Stream Center is located at the south end of Snohomish County’s McCollum Park, 600 – 128th Street SE, Everett WA 98208.
John Marzluff has authored or co-authored several popular books including: Dog Days and Raven Nights, In Company of Crows and Ravens, Gifts of the Crows, and Welcome to Subirdia: Sharing our Neighborhoods with Wrens, Robin, Woodpeckers, and other Wildlife. His research has also been the focus of numerous Public Broadcasting television shows.
Marzluff’s presentation will include a fast paced melody of images from all his books that he will use to teach you the complexities of wildlife research from remote forests to city centers, ancient and contemporary wildlife myths, and effects on wildlife from changing landscapes and human populations.
